How to treat soft tissue injuries such as bumps, sprains or strains.
Rest - avoid as much movement as possible to limit further injury. Don’t put any weight on the injured part of the body
Ice - apply a cold pack for 20 minutes every 2 hours for the first 48-72 hours of acquiring the injury
Compression - apply a compression bandage that covers the injury to reducing swelling.
Elevation - elevate the injured area to limit the flow of blood to the injury.
Referral - if not healed after the first 48 - 72 hours seek professional help
