FITNESS

As defined by The United States department of Health and Human Services physical fitness is “a set of attributes that people have or achieve that relates to the ability to perform physical activity.” This means that being physically fit requires more than running long distances or lifting heavy weights at the gym.

There are 5 main dimensions of fitness; cardiorespiratory endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance, body composition and flexibility, when each of these aspects are achieved an individual may consider themselves physically fit.
